UPDATE: Tony Khan provides update on Keith Lee’s status for tonight’s AEW Dynamite

UPDATE: Tony Khan provided an update on Keith Lee’s status for tonight’s Fyter Fest episode of AEW Dynamite, noting that Lee will still be in action. Khan appeared on Busted Open Radio earlier today and confirmed that Lee was on tonight’s show and that Lee’s tweet was not related to any potential appearances preventing him from competing.

“Keith is here,” Khan said (per Wrestling Inc). “He’s wrestling tonight. He had a family situation. I do not want [to get into it], this is not my place. But Keith is here and here to fight, as I understand it. I can’t really comment on what’s going on, but we’ll support him through what’s going on. »

Lee is expected to team up with Swerve Strickland to take on the Young Bucks and Powerhouse team Hobbs & Ricky Starks. The Bucks’ AEW World Tag Team Championships will be on the line.

ORIGINAL: In a post on Twitter, Keith Lee revealed that he recently received some bad news, suggesting he won’t be appearing at AEW Fyter Fest tonight. It is unclear what the news might be or if he is injured. For what it’s worth, AEW was still promoting him in-game just an hour ago.

He wrote: “I got less than stellar news today… Regardless of the results, tomorrow’s game belongs to my two brothers. That’s all I can do until I get back. I love you boys.
